PREMIER Soccer League debutants Triangle FC continued with their fine run after edging How Mine 2-1 at Gibbo Stadium yesterday in their third consecutive win.

Triangle, who moved to 10th position after the win, have now collected 13 points out of a possible 15 points. The team’s fairytale run has translated to improved attendance by the fans.

The Lowveld team scored one of the fastest goals this season through the injury prone Limited Chikafa just 34 seconds into the match after he pounced on Courage Denias cross.

The former Caps United player’s celebration proved short-lived after he was rushed to Colin Saunders Hospital ten minutes later after colliding with How Mine goalkeeper Pedzisai Gumiremhete.

How Mine equalised in the19th minute through Nqobile Mpala from a goal mouth melee. After the breather both sides upped the tempo in their search for maximum points.

Triangle took the lead in the 70th minute through substitute Tawanda Muyendi who came for the injured Chikafa.

Muyendi headed home a Lameck Nhamo cross to send the home into frenzy.

Masvingo based referee Makonese Masakadza awarded the hosts a penalty in the 74th minute after goalkeeper Gumiremhete was adjudged for fouling Nhamo in the box.

However the keeper managed to save the resultant spot kick from Sengu.
