The Metallon Gold-sponsored How Mine have offloaded former Highlanders striker Thabani Moyo, Josphat Phiri and Lloyd Ngara.

How Mine coach Philani Mabhena yesterday said: “We have brought in Charles Mutero from Motor Action to boost our defence. He has signed a one-year deal. He will partner Hebert Dick and Gilbert Banda in defence. He will add value to our defence.

“We have since released Phiri, Ngara and Moyo. It is not because they are bad players, but we need a little bit of experience in the squad,” he said.

Former Caps United duo of attacking midfielder Pride Tafirenyika and defender Nyasha Mukumbi, strikers Sizalobuhle Dube and Qinani “Chroma” Sibanda are reported to be interested in joining the outfit.

Ex-Warriors goalkeeper Ephraim Mazarura has also been training with How Mine and awaits reverse clearance from the National Football Association of Swaziland.

Mabhena has previously indicated that he needs a goalkeeper, a defender, midfielder and a striker to beef up his squad for during the transfer window period.

Meanwhile, Shabanie Mine coach Luke Masomere yesterday confirmed that they have signed Gate.

“I can confirm that Gate has signed a six-month deal with us because he is a free-agent. We finished the paperwork today (yesterday). Gate knows what I expect from him because I coached him at Mwana Africa and Masvingo United. He knows how I want him to play. We will renew the deal depending on the impact he will make,” he said.
