The competition will open this year when BidVest Wits entertain Bloemfontein Celtic on Friday, August 9 at the BidVest Stadium with a 6pm kick-off. The match is played on a public holiday in South Africa.

Platinum Stars will then entertain Free State Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Saturday, August 10 in a match that kicks-off at 3pm. Later, Kaizer Chiefs welcome University of Pretoria to the FNB Stadium for a 8:15pm kick-off. On Sunday, August 11, Orlando Pirates will be at home to SuperSport United, though the match will be played at the Mbombela Stadium with a 3pm kick-off.
