Mambas coach João Chissano will have to do without strikers Apson Manjate and Helder Pelembe, who have been replaced by Clesio Bauque and Calima Paulino respectively. The 18-year-old Clesio recently moved to Portuguese giants Benfica and is one of the hottest prospects to come out of Mozambique in years.

Manjate and Pelembe picked up their injuries playing in domestic league matches over the weekend and it has been ascertained that they will not recover in time for the regional showpiece tournament.

Mozambique have been handed a bye into the quarter-finals of the Cosafa Cup 2013, where they will meet Zambia in Kitwe on July 14.
