ZIMBABWE international striker Nyasha Mushekwi continues to dazzle in the colours of Belgian Jupiter League side KV Oostende after scoring the only goal of the match on Wednesday against Brussels RWDM.

Mushekwi left for trials with the Belgian club last week and he did not take long to make an impact after scoring in the team’s 3-0 win over Eendracht.

The Mamelodi Sundowns man was on target again on Wednesday and that he scored the winning goal is a sign that he must have done enough to convince the KV Oostende technical team to take him on board.

Ralph Nkomo, who represents the player, was unreachable yesterday, but he had earlier said they had already opened negotiations for the personal terms of the player and were set to conclude the talks yesterday as the club had been impressed by the towering striker since his arrival.

“Nyasha is doing very well. They have been impressed already after he scored in one of the matches. He says training there is harder than here, but he is coping. We are now opening negotiations for personal terms of the player and we should finalise everything by Thursday (yesterday).

“The two clubs will then start their own negotiations,” Nkomo had told this paper.

Mushekwi’s contract with Mamelodi Sundown expired at the end of last season, but the Brazilians exercised the one-year option contained in one of the clauses of the deal.

Should he join the club, Mushekwi will link up with fellow Zimbabweans Ovidy Karuru, Honour Gombami, Cephas Chimedza and Vusa Nyoni who are plying their trade in that country.
