Prosecutor Douglas Chesa told the court he had received Munya’s application papers late and as such he wanted time to study the application before responding to it.

DJ Munya, who is represented by Lucky Mawuwa, was not available in court when his case was briefly heard and postponed.

Munya’s co-accused persons Taurai Jani and Mohammed Matare, who are represented by Gerald Madzima and Nickiel Mushangwe respectively, also had their applications for bail postponed to tomorrow.

DJ Munya, as he is popularly known by his radio fans, was three weeks ago thrown behind bars together with his co-accused persons after a Harare Magistrate turned down their bail application.

The trio is accused of murdering one Tinashe Magorimbo whose death has been established to have been caused by poisoning.
