The praise and worship group will launch the nine-track album featuring female musicians titled Women of Praise at the Harare Gardens.

The pop singer revealed how she had been inspired by the work being done by Zimpraise.

“I remember attending their rehearsal and realising how amazing and talented the team was,” said Mare.

“When they asked me to be part of the launch I accepted the invitation happily. I am very excited and I cannot wait to get on stage.”

Gospel divas that are set to perform at the launch include Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave, Rumbi Zvirikuzhe, Sharon Manyonganise and Marbel Madondo.

Mare said the Zimpraise project would unearth raw talent in the country.

“I am sure a lot more young ladies will be encouraged by the project as it encompasses talent, which will encourage them to venture into music.”

Zimpraise producer Joseph Madziyire said he is pleased that the project is finally complete and ready to be launched. Women of Praise aims at empowering women through motivational and life-changing music.

“We decided to start this project in 2011.

“However, it remained stagnant within the Zimpraise vision, but we felt we were not being fair to women, hence we decided to go ahead with the project,” said Madziyire.

“The woman of praise project is just the beginning of other projects which we will do in the future, this is indeed a foundation of greater things to come.”

Zimpraise is a fast growing gospel group in the country. Sabastian Magacha is also expected to perform at the launch.
