DENDERA musician Tryson Chimbetu was involved in a car accident at Mapinga Hills along the Harare-Chinhoyi Highway at the weekend.

He is now in a stable condition.
Chimbetu was returning to Harare from a show at Chikangwe Tavern in Karoi when his Toyota Mark II hit a huge iron bar that was laid across the road.
“All is well with me and I have just come out of the hospital where the doctors checked if I have no injuries,” he said.
Chimbetu suspects that robbers could have put that bar along the road to rob motorists who would have stopped to remove the obstacle.
A police officer who attended the scene said it could be a bar placed by robbers or it had fallen from a cargo-carrying truck travelling along the road.
Meanwhile, the musician said he would soon unveil new management to the public. “Realising the need of professionalism within the music industry, we have decided to set up a management team that will deal with different aspects of the day-to-day running of our activities,” Chimbetu said.
