The win ensured Zimbabwe ended the series winless as it gave the better prepared South Africans a 2-0 win in the two-match T20 series in addition to another 2-0 win in the ODI series.

South Africa won the toss for the second consecutive encounter and elected to bat first before cruising to a competitive 151 for one in their allotted 20 overs. Opener Robyn Appels top-scored with an unbeaten 62 runs off just 55 deliveries while Mignan du Preez chipped in with 49 not out of 28 balls.

The only wicket to fall for the South Africans was that of opener Danie van Nierkerk, who has been a thorn in the flesh for the local bowlers. Yesterday, she managed just 28 runs before she was dismissed by Esther Mbofana.

Zimbabwe’s batting had been hugely disappointing during the series and it was the same script yet again yesterday as they were bundled out for just 59 runs in their allotted 20 overs with only one batter managing to reach double figures.

Istabel Chatonzwa was the only local batter to offer any resistance as she top-scored for Zimbabwe with 17 runs while Ashley Ndiraya managed nine runs.

South African seamer Mosline Daniels was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets for 10 runs in her four overs while her compatriots Ayibongwe Khakha and Kirchoff Morke managed two wickets apiece.
