New Afro- jazz artiste Tinashe Mupambawashe, also known as Nendoro, officially launches his second album at the Book Café tonight.

Report by Tapiwa Zivira, Online Reporter. Nendoro’s manager Tarisai Kanyama said all was in place for the launch as several music stars like Victor Kunonga, Clare Nyakujara and Bob Nyabinde are expected to attend the event.

The album, which is expected to elevate Nendoro’s status as one of the country’s most promising young artists, comes packed with six tracks that feature some of the country’s music experts like Clive Mono Mkundu.

Mono Mukundu plays the lead, bass and rhythm guitars and the album was recorded at his Monolio Studios.

Veteran Philip Svosve does the saxophone on the album.

Kanyama expressed confidence on the quality of the offering. “Since we had experts helping out on the production, I am confident the afro-fusion really appeals to listeners and is step up from his last album” she said.

“Nendoro has matured musically as he had an opportunity to meet other artistes at various platforms such as Open Mic,” she added.

Open Mic, where musicians go and showcase their talent, is hosted by the Book Café.

According to Kanyama, Nendoro’s first album released two years ago suffered lack of marketing.

Tracks expected on the album include Hello Babie, a love song that already has over 700 ‘views’ on the YouTube website.

Other songs include Machena, a song about a man celebrating that he has won the heart of a woman he had loved for a long time, Musapopotedzane, which urges couples to keep peace all the time, Makaguma rinhi, Pore Pore, and Prezha.

Clare Nyakujara and Blessing Muparutsa are expected to perform as part of Nendoro’s band.
