Munyaradzi Gwanzura, employed as a cashier at Trevor Dollar Real Estate Agent, allegedly collected $20 700 cash on April 3 from clients before he disappeared with the money.
Acting provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the theft yesterday and said investigations were underway.
“I can confirm that we received a report of theft involving $20 700 from Trevor Dollar Real Estate agent by one of their employees, a cashier at the company,” he said.
“It is alleged that Gwanzura from Southdowns suburb, Gweru, collected the money from clients on the 3rd of April, but instead of surrendering the money to his employer, he disappeared with the cash.”
Mahoko said police had since launched a manhunt for the suspect
