ZIFA Southern Region Division One side Bulawayo Chiefs look set to secure a berth in Premiership football in their debut season in Division One after registering six straight wins to maintain a stranglehold at the top of the log standings.

Bulawayo Chiefs acquired FC Windermere’s franchise in the league and are yet to lose a match, picking up 18 points, scoring 13 goals and conceding only two in six matches with a game in hand.

On Saturday, Chiefs collected yet another three points on the road after dismissing Technosphere 0-1 in Hwange.

Chiefs, under the tutelage of former Quelaton coach Thulani Sibanda with former Warriors gaffer Rahman Gumbo as technical adviser, have a chance to stretch that lead on Thursday when they date police side Black Boots at Luveve Stadium.

Former Premiership side Quelaton rose to second position after beating another former Premiership outfit Zimbabwe Saints 2-1 at Luveve on Saturday and are now on 15 points with two losses and five wins.
