For two evenings, Ncube will perform in the recently refurbished Old Mutual Theatre. The standup comedian said he would use the shows to test all his “new material” before going on tour.

“In the various places where I have performed, comedians have the opportunity to perform in many clubs to various audiences and it strengthens their material and delivery,” said Ncube.

“I have developed the undercover concept to have room to play around with new material for comedy lovers who are always happy to hear something new from me.”

He said this experimental show had several months of preparation and writing, while snippets were also performed at regular comedy spots such as the popular Bang Bang comedy platform.

After the two performances, Ncube will take his undercover show to Bulawayo.

“I am so happy to make my base back at home in Zimbabwe and being here for some time has given me lots of new material from the Makandiwas to the Finance minister to Dynamos debts and loss of name,” he said.

Before the Bulawayo show, Ncube is expected to travel to Malawi where he will again represent Zimbabwe in a comedy show called “Presidents of Laughrica” with Malawian stand-up comedian Daliso Chaponda and Salvado from Uganda.

Ncube, who is known to use his decade of advertising, television, design and programming experience to propel his trailblazing comedy career, has come up with various methods to market his new productions using new technology.
