HWANGE will be searching for their first victory of the season when they clash with How Mine in a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match at the Colliery Stadium in Hwange tomorrow.

The Nation Dube-coached side has so far collected two points from three games.

Hwange started off the season with a 1-1 draw against Motor Action in Harare before they played a similar stalemate with Premiership returnees Black Rhinos at home.

How Mine kicked off on a good note beating fellow newcomers Tripple B 2-0 at White City Stadium, but falling 4-1 to FC Platinum at Mandava Stadium.

They then had a 2-1 victory over Monomotapa at Luveve Stadium last Sunday.

Dube said: “It is going to be a very tough match because How Mine are confident as they have won two matches. We are going to have a little pressure because we are still searching for a win. The expectations from fans will be high and that might put pressure on the players.

“How Mine are a new team, but they have seasoned players who have Premiership experience,” he said.

Dube said they were still assessing Farai Vimisayi, Evans Rusike and veteran striker Gilbert Zulu who are carrying slight knocks. How Mine coach Philani Mabhena also said he was anticipating a tough game.

“Hwange will be playing at home and they would want to win because they suffered a heavy defeat against Buffaloes.

“We have reached a certain level of confidence, but it is not where we would like to be. We will be without Khumbulani Banda who picked up three yellow cards and Arnold Ndiweni who is nursing a right ankle injury,” he said.

How Mine have in their camp players like Brighton Choto, veteran Hebert Dick, Menard Mupera, Simon Njeleza and Timothy January, while Hwange will be banking on Nkosana Siwela, Gerald Ndlovu, Malvern Longwe and veteran goalkeeper Timothy Sibanda.
