AS part of its continued growth strategy in Africa, Emirates has rotated its commercial operations team and announced a new country manager for Zimbabwe.

Paulos Legesse, who started his career with Emirates in 2009 as a country manager for Nigeria, has been appointed Emirates’ country manager for Zimbabwe.
“It’s our strategy to continuously develop and enhance our employees’ capabilities through providing them with new and challenging markets to lead. Africa is a market that is constantly evolving and we remain committed to looking at new ways of developing our services and expanding our commercial footprint across the continent,” Emirates’ senior vice-president, commercial operations, Africa Jean Luc Grillet said.
He said the management changes for Emirates’ commercial operations were part of the airline’s commitment to offering staff the opportunity to grow and experience new challenges.
Other appointments have been made in Libya, Tunisia and Nigeria. Meanwhile, Emirates is set to officially open its ticketing and sales office in Harare tomorrow.
Emirates’ flies daily to Harare from Dubai via Lusaka using a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Since February 1 2012 when the airline relaunched in Zimbabwe, more than 55 000 passengers have travelled with Emirates on the Dubai-Lusaka- Harare route.
