BULAWAYO Golf Club (BGC) will host this year’s edition of the annual Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Golf Challenge on April 25.
In a Press briefing at the ZITF in Bulawayo this week, chairman of the ZITF Bekithemba Nkomo confirmed: “The annual ZITF Golf Challenge takes place on Thursday April 25 at the Bulawayo Golf Club. This year, it will be managed under licence by a professional sports management company (Bolt Africa Sports Management). The tournament is being sponsored by Power FM.
The networking awards dinner will be held at the Bulawayo Golf Club with the Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Honourable Mike Bimha as the guest of honour.
“Players through out the country are invited to take part in this worthy cause. Proceeds will go to Ekuphumuleni Geriatric Nursing Home and winners will be announced at the ZITF 2013 Official Opening Ceremony,” he said.
Bulawayo Country Club hosted last year’s competition which was played under the four-ball-alliance format.
Some of the teams that featured in last year’s competition include, Dunlop, Batman and Robin, Shepco Industrial, Grumpies, Advocates and Bush Bucks.
