AMALGAMATED Motor Corporation Nissan (AMC Nissan), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scotia Holdings, was awarded the Most Improved Nissan Dealer 2012

AMALGAMATED Motor Corporation Nissan (AMC Nissan), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scotia Holdings, was awarded the Most Improved Nissan Dealer 2012 at the recently held annual Nissan Awards ceremony at the Leopard Rock Hotel in Vumba.

They also scooped the best Sales Executive, best Parts Manager and best Sales Manager award in recognition of their exceptional performance for the 2012 financial year.

AMC Nissan is part of the AMC Group of dealerships that have been in operation in Zimbabwe for over 70 years. The dealership is based at No. 16 Edison Crescent Graniteside, Harare, and boasts a strong team of well-trained technicians and state-of-the-art workshop and diagnostic equipment.

Products and Services AMC Nissan takes care of the full range of Nissan product sales and services from the entry level pickup, sedan and SUV. Genuine parts and accessories are available through the dealership’s Parts Department. AMC Nissan is a recognised and approved vehicle evaluator for purposes such as the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority valuations.

Financing options are also available through the group’s wide network of financiers. Corporates can access financing through short-term credit upon successful application, thereby offering the much needed convenience to corporate clients.

lNew Vehicle Sales The dealership sells the full Nissan product range including the recently launched 1.5 litre petrol Nissan Almera. This is such a relevant product in hard times as it is very fuel efficient therefore very affordable to run. The Almera is available in both automatic and manual versions. Designed for a proud first time Nissan owner, the Nissan Almera puts class into economy with its large roomy passenger and boot space. The Almera boasts a 490 litre boot space which is the best in its class.

The Nissan Qashqai is also another product to reckon with. It comes with 1.5 and 2.0 litre petrol engine size, and with manual and CVT versions. Available in five and seven-seater range, it caters for a medium size modern and outgoing family.

Demonstration drives are available on request for the product range giving a more practical feel of new vehicles to customers and, therefore, allows for more informed buying decision-making.

lWorkshops AMC Nissan offers exceptional vehicle services to the Nissan brand at their Graniteside workshop. The workshop is equipped with the latest Nissan Consult III + diagnostic machine which diagnoses all Nissan models.

The dealership also boasts a mix of well-experienced technicians to take care of the customers’ vehicles. The apprenticeship programme that they run also offers training to mechanical and electrical students in conjunction with various training institutions across the country.

AMC Nissan workshop services carry a warranty of 3 000km or three months whichever comes first. This is exclusive to AMC Nissan and bears testimony to their belief in their workmanship. Customers that are not happy with workmanship within the warranty period can bring back their vehicles for rectification at AMC’s cost.

Approved corporate customers enjoy short-term credit on their workshop services thereby bringing convenience to service access and much needed cash-flow relief to their businesses.

lParts Sales Nissan genuine parts and accessories are available from the dealership for out of warranty products.

“We recommend that all vehicles within warranty must be serviced by the dealerships to avoid loss of warranty condition” the Parts Manager said. All genuine Nissan parts also carry parts warranty.

The team A vibrant and dynamic team is the secret behind AMC’s exceptional performance for the year despite the prevailing harsh economic environment.

“At AMC Nissan, we believe in continuous improvement. We are forever challenging the status quo thereby incorporating new ways of thinking and getting business ahead” the Managing Director Naison Pedzisai said.

“Our relentless pursuit for continuous improvement drives us at AMC Nissan and our quest is for the customer to experience quality service each time,” he added.

“We believe none of us is as smart as all of us, teamwork and participation spells success.”

The AMC Nissan Team is headed by Paul Simango, a veteran of the motor industry having worked for AMC in various capacities and rose through the ranks to his current position of AMC Nissan Dealer Principal.

“I am humbled by these awards especially at this time in our country’s economy’s course to recovery. I am very grateful to our leadership at Scotia Group and the AMC family at large for their continued support and guidance” he said.

The vehicle Sales Department is headed by Delphine Dzvuke, who won the Sales Manager of the year 2012 after being second runner-up for the same award in 2010. She especially brings pride to the group and is evidence of the equal opportunities to all that the group believes in.

Supporting Dzvuke in Sales is Cadwell Mukonde who won the best Sales Executive of the year award. A young, energetic salesman gradually learning his trade, Mukonde is indeed a joy to work with.

The Parts Manager of the year prize was awarded to AMC Nissan’s Blessward Gunda, another young man with excellent parts management skills. He will get you whatever parts you want at your earliest convenience.

Recent developments at AMC The AMC group has seen a lot of changes in the recent past including the relocation of their city Mitsubishi workshop to Motor City Complex. The city Head Office was also moved to No. 17 Douglas Road, Workington, Harare. As the company responds to market trends to improve competitiveness, AMC Gweru and Marondera branches, were rebranded to Toyota during the restructuring exercise.
