HOW Mine will play their next league match against Monomotapa at either Barbourfields or Luveve Stadium

HOW Mine will play their next league match against Monomotapa at either Barbourfields or Luveve Stadium after the Premier Soccer League (PSL) condemned White City Stadium following security concerns that were raised by match officials after the season opening match against Tripple B last Thursday.

PSL chief executive officer Kennedy Ndebele confirmed the development to NewsDay Sport yesterday.

“We have received reports on security concerns from match officials on the state of White City Stadium. We will inform the Bulawayo City Council and How Mine on the development. As such, How Mine will for now either use Barbourfields or Luveve in their next league game.

“It was noted that the safety of players and match officials at White City is not guaranteed because the area designated for dressing rooms is too close to the fans. The dressing rooms windows are not secure and there is no sitting area for the VIP section and the media and some of the benches used by the teams are broken,” he said.

League newcomers How Mine opted to play at White City because their stadium is undergoing renovations.
