FOLLOWING a dismal performance at the ITF/CAT African Closed Junior 18 and Under Championships in South Africa recently, Zimbabwe junior tennis players will be hoping to redeem themselves at the 36th All-Africa Junior Tennis Championship in Kenya.

FOLLOWING a dismal performance at the ITF/CAT African Closed Junior 18 and Under Championships in South Africa recently, Zimbabwe junior tennis players will be hoping to redeem themselves at the 36th All-Africa Junior Tennis Championship in Kenya. REPORT BY DANIEL NHAKANISO

The All-Africa Junior Tennis Championship which are meant for boys and girls in the Under-14, and U-16 categories will take place at the Nairobi Tennis Club from March 12-23. The main championship will kick off on March 18 after a week-long warm-up tournament. This will be the first time an East African country will be hosting such a tournament in 33 years after it was moved from Egypt due to the on-going political tension in that country.

Close to 120 players assisted by over 50 coaches from 27 countries are expected to take part in the championship.
