The 2012 Zifa Eastern Region Division One League champions make a stride into their maiden appearance in the Premiership with Masvingo United’s former Caps United striker Limited Chikafa to spearhead their strike force as they seek to remain in the country’s elite football league.

Triangle has also grabbed former Monomotapa, Blue Ribbon and Hwange midfielder Daniel Kamhunenga, ex-Gunners attacking midfielder Willard Gondo and Hardbody goalkeeper Ashley Rayners.

To add to the four, Triangle already had former Dynamos’ veteran Leo Kurauzvione, Caps United’s David Sengu and Courage Denias, Gunners’ Pardon Chinungwa, Black Mambas’ William Mapfumo.

Club secretary Alex Khumbula yesterday confirmed the list of 30 players that Triangle has submitted to the Premier Soccer League. They will be coached by Gishon Ntini assisted by Lovemore Ndlovu, with former Warriors shot stopper Gift “Umbro” Muzadzi as the goalkeepers’ coach.

“We have played two practice matches to date, beating Tripple B in Masvingo last month and we have managed a goalless draw against Motor Action in Harare. We were supposed to play Chicken Inn last weekend in Bulawayo, but we had transport challenges. We are hoping that on Saturday we will play Mwenezana, a Division One side here in Triangle and then go to play Shabanie Mine at Maglas on Sunday,” Khumbula said.

The Lowveld outfit has retained goalkeeper Brighton Chipula and Edmund Chimhini from the team that got them into the Premiership and defenders, Blessing Chimwamuchere, who has played for the Mighty Bulls before, Moses Gutu, Muchineripi Muneri, Jason Zembe and Chasten Ngondonga.

They have midfielders Pascal Manhanga, Tatenda Tsuro, Brian Juwayeyi, Richard Kawondera, Tinei Meda and Charles Makoto.

Lameck Nhamo and Tawanda Munyandi will make up the strike force with Chikafa.

The “Rookies” party consists of Terence Ganyata, Leopold Kanyemba, Blessing Mazivisa, John Mugiyo and Tichaona Chipunza.

Triangle brings Premiership football to Chiredzi where they will play their home games at Gibbo Stadium, which has previously hosted Premiership ties in the Mbada Diamonds Cup and the BancABC Sup8r Cup games.
