FORMER Dynamos midfielder Wonder Sithole has joined Castle Lager Premier Soccer League side Buffaloes on a one-year deal. REPORT BY KENNETH NYANGANI
The Mutare-born and bred footballer is set to relaunch his fading soccer career after struggling at Dynamos since joining them in 2008 from Masvingo United.
He was deregistered at Dynamos mid-season last year and found out later that it was too late to make any move to another club where he could have game time.
Sithole might be a suitable replacement for diminutive midfielder Phineas Bhamusi who left the soldiers for another Premiership side Harare City this season.
There is no doubt that the former Yuna Yuna player has vast experience to steer the ship at the soldiers, especially in providing guidance to promising midfielders such as Phillip Thembani and Roy Mwenga.
The army side has also enlisted the services of relegated side Hardbody player Jacob Muzokomba.
Buffaloes spokesperson Tendai Chitowa confirmed the development.
“We have signed Wonder Sithole for one season. He is a good player with vast experience and we are expecting him to add new dimension in our side,” he said.
