Dube will grace an event where local gospel artiste Thembalami Praise will be launching his second album titled Faith Action Kit.

Other local artistes set to perform at that show Baba Mechanic Manyeruke, Sebastian Magacha, Mudiwa and Prophecy.

“Dube will be here in Zimbabwe and he is going to perform at my album launch.

“He is one of the musicians who inspire me and I am happy that he agreed to come.

“The event will also provide an opportunity for local artistes to mix and mingle with gospel gurus,” Thembalami confirmed in an interview.

Dube is a music ministerial visionary, anointed songwriter and singer, music producer and an inspiration to secular artistes in South Africa.

His music ministry has briskly grown internationally, in the  United States, Sweden, Netherlands, Paris, Australia and Japan. He has an office in London (UK).

He is the founder and CEO of High Praise Centre in Boksburg, Johannesburg, a non-profit making organisation that addresses the spiritual needs of men, women and children.

In 1980, Benjamin founded a singing group at High School (Daliwonga Secondary School) called Share the Good News.   He entered the SABC talent search competition and won 1st prize for a Stereo Cassette player.

From that talent search, he was spotted by then upcoming artiste Sello “Chicco” Twala, when they were about to start a pop band called Image.

He was then called to lead vocals for the band, which started a relationship between Benjamin and Chicco. Together with Image, they did three projects in which he wrote one song called Valencia.

In 1984/85, Benjamin recorded We Pray For Love, followed by his first single I Live Joyfully.

When Chicco left Image to go solo, he called Benjamin to join him in a company called Dephon. There, Benjamin made his first hit song Holy  Spirit with Chicco in 1986.

In 1988, he released another album called Ebenezer featuring Lucky  Dube, followed by the Family’s album called We’re What We Are, both  released by Gallo Records.

In 1989/90, he recorded an album called Love  Africa, which was the last project with Gallo Records.
