Lupi’s three-member band performance was so good that after every song, his fans would give him a round of applause.

He sang mainly in French, but closed with two songs in English.

His love songs struck a chord with show goers who were left yearning for more.

“This song is in English and I hope that you will like it,” the veteran musician said. His fans responded with yet another round of applause.

In an interview with Newsday after the show, Lupi said he liked being in Zimbabwe so much.

“I will also perform at the Harare International Festival of the Arts (Hifa) in April.”

He said he has collaborated with Zimbabweans and has released an album titled Towns and Travelling and fans would get an opportunity to see him perform these songs from the album at Hifa.

Lupi has lived in Burundi for two years.
