King Shaddy who had been touring South Africa this past week, makes his maiden local show at arguably the capital’s hottest dancehall spot tonight at 8pm.

The dancehall icon, who is also celebrating his 28th birthday, said his one-week tour of South Africa was very successful as he attracted full houses in Cape Town.

“Mzansi was great. I got so much love from my fans there. Let’s hope people will come to the welcome back bash at the Basement and I will do what I do best, Magoo style,” said King Shaddy.

He promised to thrill fans with his popular tracks and with new ones as well.

Mai Huni, Makanika, Tsoka YaDanmore, Mugota Sinhi YeBacossi are some of the chart-topping tracks that established King Shaddy on the local dancehall scene.

“King Shaddy is the best dancehall artiste on the local scene no doubt,” Christina Mhokore, owner of the night spot, said.

“His performance here was long overdue and we hope people will come in their numbers to celebrate with us. All ladies will be treated to some on-the-house wine before 10pm.”

Shaddy will be performing alongside a number of artistes including Jungle D, Junior King, DJ Bootlet, DJ SMG, Bodyslam Regoman and Redemption Sound.
