BIG Brother Amplified winner Wendall Parson has taken a local firm Nu-Aero trading as Fresh Air to court over a $21 500 debt for services rendered.

BIG Brother Amplified (BBA) winner Wendall Parson has taken a local firm Nu-Aero trading as Fresh Air to court over a $21 500 debt after the latter allegedly failed to pay him for services rendered.

Report by Charles Laiton

After scooping the award in 2011, Parson was allegedly approached by Matipedza Karase who was cited in court papers as the first respondent, representing Nu-Aero, to be the firm’s brand ambassador.

It was allegedly agreed then on September 23, 2011 that the firm would use Parson’s name and services at a cost of $31 500 from the agreed date to November 30 of the same year.

Parson claims that in compliance with the said agreement, he performed his obligation and made himself available to Nu-Aero, but in breach of the said agreement, the firm paid him $10 500 leaving a balance of $21 500.

However, Nu-Aero has since denied owing Parson the alleged money while Karase argued he was wrongly cited in Parson’s claim.

“The defendants aver that due to the untimely and unexpected cancellation of all the flights by the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) by way of a directive in an undated letter addressed to the second defendant (Nu-Aero), the latter could only conduct one successful flight out of the total scheduled 31 flights, which meant he (Parson) performed one out of 31 of his obligations under the said contract,” Karase said.

Parson however, maintained he was entitled to the full amount under the alleged signed brand ambassador agreement.
