Jere, who quit Caps United in a huff in November last year, had been linked with a possible take-over of Motor Action.

Last week Jere “broke his silence and dismissed reports” linking him with the Mighty Bulls. He was quoted in the local media saying he had no immediate plans of owning a stake in any football club in the domestic scene and reports linking him to Motor Action, were not true.

However, Rosen has expressed shock at Jere’s sudden change of heart, claiming that the former Caps United boss was the one who had approached him with a proposal to acquire a stake in the Mighty Bulls.

Speaking to NewsDay Sport yesterday, Rosen said he had held several meetings with Jere to discuss the modalities of the later’s proposal to invest.

“To be honest with you, I was shocked to read what Jere said after all the meetings we had to discuss the matter. The bottom line is that Jere made offers to me and he invited me to his offices in Eastlea to discuss the offer.

“We held several meetings and a deal was close to being sealed with just a few issues left to be sorted out before could we put pen to paper, but I was surprised to hear that Jere was distancing himself from the deal,” he said.

Rosen could not, however, be drawn into discussing the details of the offers that Jere tabled before him, but hinted that he had bought into Jere’s “attractive” offer.

The Motor Action director said he has not spoken to Jere ever since the media reports.

“If you read all the newspaper articles they are all about Jere. No single report mentions my name, neither am I quoted in one regardless of the fact that the team in question is mine.

“Maybe what we should do is look at the matter the other way and think that maybe Jere wants to resolve his dispute with Caps United before he commits himself to anything involving football,” Rosen said.

The Mighty Bulls chief revealed that his club was yet to secure partners or sponsors to invest in the club and wil still welcome offers from individuals and companies interested.

“We are still looking for partners or sponsors who are interested in the Mighty Bulls brand and football at large. If there are any companies or individuals interested, they are welcome to come with offers for consideration,” he said.

Meanwhile, Motor Action are still awaiting response from the Premier Soccer League regarding their proposal to host their league home matches in Gweru and Kwekwe in the forthcoming season.
