Panthers and Busters will be oozing with confidence as they face off in the second round of the round robin fixture after both recorded victories in their opening matches last weekend.

An aggressive Panthers side went on a rampage ripping apart a feeble Bulldogs side to record a massive 73-0 victory to go on top of the log standings while Busters edged past rivals Old Miltonians 21-19 to book the second spot in the first round of matches.

Panthers coach Gorge “Rollo” Mukorera yesterday told Newsday that he is confident of victory.

“We are confident that we are going to win despite the fact that we have not had enough practice time due to the rains. I will be banking this match on players like captain Irvine Nduwa, TatisaiSibanda, Nigel Mugadza, Nqabutho Zulu and Cuthbert Dube to win this one,” Mukorera said.

Today’s result from the clash of the heavy weights will determine which team goes on top of the log standings as well as who gets the first spot in the final that is penciled for February 23.

In another ZimboCup tie, Old Miltonians entertain Bulldogs.
