“The diversity in music at this event is set to keep the audience engaged as there is a rock, hip-hop, reggae and Afro-centric sound.” He also said there will be an open mic segment for upcoming artists.

“The show will kick off at 3.30pm with the People’s Podium, an open mic segment where upcoming artists in the audience can stand up and perform,” he said.

Popular poet Ms Bluez promised to light up the stage.

“Being invited to perform for Mashoko is a highlight for me. It means more growth and exposure because the event is a huge platform and I promise to bring the best,” she said.

Ms Bluez said poetry is a “tool to awaken the mind, foster growth, inspire and motivate”.
