CAPE TOWN — Ajax Cape Town midfielder Khama Billiat says the immediate priority for the Urban Warriors is to start collecting points in order to avoid the grim prospect of relegation. — Kick Off Ajax suffered a comprehensive 3-0 defeat at the hands of Platinum Stars on Saturday, after playing to a 1-1 draw against Moroka Swallows on Wednesday, and are now 15th on the log with 16 points.

Billiat said the team needed to start winning more matches at home.

“We must start collecting positive results at home – and away – because we must avoid relegation,” Billiat told KickOff.com.

“The important thing is to try and win all our home matches and then aim for at least a draw when we play away.

“The results have not been going our way, but I believe we have players who are good enough to help the club to turn around the situation and avoid relegation,” the Zimbabwean international added.

“I am confident in the ability of the coach and his technical team. We all have to step up as players and show more commitment on the field of play.

“It is important that we start delivering soon because there may come a time when it will be too late to avoid going down.

“Personally I am going to work harder for the team because it would be a tragedy if a club like Ajax is relegated from the Premier League,” Billiat added.
