A high-placed source yesterday confirmed that the Harare businessman, who left Dynamos in 2006, has been appointed as head of marketing for the reigning league champions.
The source said the appointment had been set to be announced this week, but was postponed to next week due to the death of Vice-President John Nkomo.
“The club was set to issue a Press statement this week, but due to the death of the Vice-President, the announcement has been pushed to next week. He has been appointed head of marketing,” said the source.
No official comment could be obtained from the Dynamos board of directors and Pamire yesterday.
“He has been given the mandate to sell the Dynamos brand to the world. Dynamos’ brand has a potential to generate a lot of money and Pamire has been tasked to find ways to generate that money,” the source added.
Another source said Pamire has been tasked to spearhead the marketing of Dynamos’ 50th golden jubilee celebrations.
He was in the spotlight in November last year when he led his advocacy group called Pan-African Development Foundation to challenge Zifa on Asiagate rulings.
