BLOMFONTEIN CELTIC coach Clinton Larsen has been charmed by lanky Dynamos striker Rodreck Mutuma who is on trials with the South African club.

According to Kick Off, the Celtic boss said Mutuma has been doing well at training since joining the club on trials last week. Larsen, however, said they would make a decision about Mutuma next week.
“He has been doing well and is very impressive at training. Things are looking positive, but we will only make a final decision about him next week,” Larsen was quoted saying.
However, a decision by the club to release one of their strikers Siyabonga Nontshinga to Mpumalanga Black Aces on a six-month loan, appears to signal that the South African club are already preparing to make an offer to Mutuma.
The Dynamos striker still has a running contract with the Zimbabwe champions to December 31 this year.
Celtic will have to make an offer to Dynamos for them to complete the signing of the player before January 31.
Mutuma is one of 25 players Dynamos had registered for the forthcoming African Champions League. The champions had, however, previously stated that they would not release any of their players they registered for the African championships.

Former Sundowns striker Simba Sithole, whom they had also registered for the Champions League, is also on trials with South African Premiership side SuperSport.
Should the pair leave the club, it would leave them depleted in attack after Martin Vengesayi, one of the players who had also been registered, failed to agree personal terms with the club and is eyeing a move to Harare City.
The situation will be compounded by the fact that although Dynamos have agreed with Hwange for the transfer of Francesco Zikumbawire on a season’s loan, the deal is yet to be completed as no money has changed hands.
Ideally, Dynamos coach Kalisto Pasuwa, who is racing against time as he prepares his charges for the preliminary round first leg tie against Lesotho’s Correctional Services next month, would have preferred to have all his players available for the crucial encounter.
