KWEKWE — Barmet Mutosvori, a close friend to late sungura musician Tongai Moyo, is in trouble over a $300 debt which he has reportedly been avoiding since February last year.

Mutosvori, who has courted controversy over allegations that he is dating Minehle Mukweli, wife of the late Moyo, had his entire living room furniture attached by the Messenger of Court on December 24 last year over the debt.
Although he has struggled to pay his debt, Mutosvori has allegedly donated his luxury drop top maroon Peugeot vehicle to his late friend’s wife.
Mutosvori and Mukweli have denied the affair which has become arguably the most talked bout subject on the streets of Kwekwe. Storey Marketing, a Kwekwe hardware supplying company, obtained a writ of execution against Mutosvori after he failed to settle the debt for building material he received in January last year.
Lawyer Liberty Mashanyare, who is representing Storey Marketing, confirmed the attachment under case 594/12 of the Kwekwe Magistrates’ Court.
“The Messenger of Court has attached most of the property in Mutosvori’s living room which include LCD plasma TV, lounge suite and other pieces of furniture at his Plot 3 Eastclare block house. The property will be put under the hammer this weekend if he does not otherwise settle the bill,” said Mashanyare.
Mutosvori, who claims to be a very successful businessman, recently filled a $2 million lawsuit against Zimpapers following a story carried in one of their titles H-Metro alleging that he had married and impregnated Mukweli.
