Highlanders women’s side slipped up in their quest for the title as they failed to impress like their male counterparts narrowly going down 54-55 to Giants in a closely contested encounter.

Highlanders men ran riot as they beat Oilers 104-49. A prolific Mike Zokuhle led the Highlanders offensive bagging an incredible 32 points to spearhead his side to a massive victory as the title race heats up.

Unicorns kept their title hopes alive by recording two straight wins during the weekend as they edged past a determined Southern Mavericks 71-68 before going on to record an easy 71-22 victory over Stars.

Oilers failed to bounce back from their heavy defeat at the hands of Highlanders when they went down to Kings 60-43 ending the weekend in misery. ZB Titans continued singing the blues when they lost 53-23 to Mavericks.

This weekend the league will take a break to give way for the inter-provincial that will be taking place at Gweru from February 1-3.
