The highly-rated player after impressive performances for his side, has found himself at the centre of speculation relating with a move to Aston Villa, Fulham and Reading.

But despite the life-changing opportunity to play in the league regarded as the best in the world, Pritchard insists he is happy at Charlton.

“I am just enjoying my football with Charlton and want to play as many games for the club as I can,” Pritchard told the English media yesterday.

A regular in the Charlton line-up, the Harare-born footballer played the whole match in his side’s 2-1 league win over Blackpool on Saturday.

“My goal is to just be a player that people are happy and proud to have representing their club.

“That’s what I want to do at Charlton. I just want to perform well enough so that the fans are happy to see me starting games and playing football for them.

“I am enjoying myself playing for a good team. We have done well since winning promotion last season.”

The Valley, as Charlton are known by their supporters, are currently 14th on the 24-team standings with 36 points, and ahead of former Premier League teams Bolton Wanderers, Wolverhampton, Birmingham City and Barnsley.

“We knew the Championship would be hard, but we decided that we would go into the league without fear of the opposition.

“We have just been playing without fear to a certain degree. It’s worked for us so far and it’s been a good first half of the season.

“We haven’t been daunted by things and hopefully we can continue to push on in the second half of the season. I say that with caution, though. We won’t get carried away.”

Another England-based player Onismor Bhasera is also linked with a move from his League Two side Plymouth Argyle. The left-back, who is believed to be the club’s highest paid player, is reportedly close to securing a deal to join English League One side Walsall.

The reports say the former Kaizer Chiefs man has also attracted interest from Shrewsbury and Northampton although it is Walsall who are favourites to land the talented left-back.

However, the biggest news on the current transfer window involving a Zimbabwe player is Edward Sadomba’s move from Sudanese Al Hilal to United Arab Emirates Pro League side Al Ittihad.

The Warriors man penned a six-month deal which is believed to be worth $400 000.

Moving closer to home, unheralded Zimbabwe-born striker Taonga Dondo has been released from his contract at South African Premiership side Free State Stars.

Dondo, who joined the club six months ago from Jomo Cosmos, has reportedly failed to fit into Steve Kompela’s side and his slot has been filled by Fikru Tefera.
