The former African champions, according to media reports, started camp yesterday and will travel to Abu Dhabi on Sunday for the two matches against the West African countries on January 10 and 14.

Egyptian national team director Samir Adly said: “We will start our camp on Thursday (yesterday) and then we will travel on January 6. We will play the first match against Ghana without Al Ahly’s international players.

”We had many offers from many teams, but we liked Chile the best,” Adly said. “The EFA board held a meeting on Wednesday and they will sign the contracts soon and the match will be played on February 6.”

The match against Chile will be played in Spain.

The Warriors, on the other hand, have not confirmed any friendly match. Chief executive Jonathan Mashingaidze was not available for comment yesterday.

However, the Warriors under Klaus Dieter-Pagels, have been offered an early chance by Niger, who will be playing in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations finals, for a preparatory match in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on January 15.
