The champions, who have already lost star midfielder Denver Mukamba to Bidvest Wits in South Africa, are set to lose strikers Simba Sithole and Rodreck Mutuma to Supersport United and Bloemfontein Celtic respectively.

While Dynamos are battling to find replacements before the deadline, the biggest challenge they are facing is that they are still to agree with both Supersport and Celtic on the transfer fee for Sithole and Mutuma.

Dynamos are demanding $120 000 for Mutuma, but the two parties are still to agree on the transfer fee. The champions have also opened negotiations for the transfer of Sithole, but are also still to agree on a figure.

Both Supersport United and Celtic also have to sign the players before the close of the transfer window of January 31.

However, it appears it is Dynamos who are under pressure as they need to ensure the transfer of the two players is completed on time to allow them to run around and find replacements before the Caf deadline for the final late registration of players.

Dynamos chairman Keni Mubaiwa said yesterday they were still waiting for communication from the South African clubs and admitted they were in a dilemma.

“We are facing a big challenge. We are still waiting for communication from South Africa as we negotiate for the transfer of the players. Time is running out because we need to find replacements so that we register before the deadline on Thursday (tomorrow). But if we can’t get replacements, we will be forced to do with what we have,” said Mubaiwa.

Even if Dynamos manage to get replacements, it will come at a cost as they have to pay US$500 penalty fee for the late registration of players.

Dynamos are also still to raise money to pay $20 000 for the transfer of Francesco Zikumbawire from Hwange. The champions, however, had already registered Zikumbawire. They have since agreed with Hwange on the figure for the transfer of the player and what is just left is for them to effect payment.
