The South Africa-based musician said the organisation had so far identified seven children who are set to benefit from the foundation. The number is set to increase as time goes on.

“As a way of giving back to the community, I founded Changing Destinies Trust in Zimbabwe which is a non-profit making organisation dedicated to improve the lives of disadvantaged children in communities all over Zimbabwe. The official launch was conducted in Dande. Changing Destinies was able to identify seven visually impaired children who were walking many kilometres to their schools. The children are now staying at the schools in teachers’ houses.

“The children have two Perkins Braille (machines which the visually impaired use to write with) and they are getting education with the assistance of a dedicated teacher who is also visually impaired.

“This has been my dream. I am glad that at least I am able to assist the suffering children,” he said. Q Montana stole the limelight early last year after he signed a three-year contract with an international label, Coolspot Productions, based in South Africa. The label distributes his music in over 45 countries. The musician got a BMW vehicle as part of the deal.

Born Brighton Kufa on November 1 1983, Q Montana got onto the local music scene with his debut album Neo Vector (2005) followed by Sweet Pain (2007) and Untamed (2009). Currently, he is riding high with his fourth project titled Strings Attached.
