Mukandabutsu Msasa The newly-opened place hosts Chamu Boroma as part of the official opening. Boroma has always struggled for consistency especially with the increase in the number of serious dendera musicians around. Rudhaka Stadium Marondera After the féte at Pamuzinda tonight, Alick Macheso takes to Marondera where he performs with Progress Chipfumo. Proggy is fresh from a Cape Town tour and his return ensures that the collaboration with Macheso flourishes all over the Christmas holidays.

On Sunday they perform at New Life Night Club before they go to Jongwe Corner on Monday. On Christmas Day they perform at Sports Diner after which they travel to As U Like it in Karoi on Wednesday.

Khule’s Bar Douglas Chimbetu plays at Khule’s Bar tonight. The young artiste who recently released his debut Tsimba is fast growing into a force to reckon with.

The album is no pushover with tracks like Chipiseni already causing ripples. Tomorrow the venue hosts dance group Macgesh who are still hot after their Starbrite success.

Jazz 105 The Headmaster, Bob Nyabinde, takes his lessons to Jazz 105 tonight. He is supported by his son Agabbu. They make way for Jabavu Drive tomorrow. On Sunday it’s the Bhora madness controlled by a resident DJ.

Musakanene Tonight is rhumba night at Musakanene with Amasisters Dance Group taking over tomorrow and Scorpion finishing off the weekend. On Monday Amasisters clash with Team Christiano before yet another explosive clash with Mthwakazi on Christmas Day. It gets hotter on Boxing Day with Zaka Zaka belting it out with First Farai aka Atembo ushering in the new year.

Hunters Sports Bar Tichagarika Glen View Under new management, the bar will present a dance fiesta this weekend with New Generation Dance Group together with Oliver and Crew before New Class raps up the weekend.

The Maiden Bar Harare Sports Club The Summer Shakedown party continues tonight at the Maiden Bar coupled with the series of shutdown gigs. Tonight and tomorrow DJs Banks, Vee and KB will be commanding the programme from the turntables.

Mutare Motoring Club After the Last Gig in the capital and the Goldtech Grand Draw in the afternoon today, Sulumani Chimbetu takes to Mutare where he will be giving the diamond miners a test of the Syllabus.

He takes to Renco Mine on Sunday where Peter Moyo and a number of other outfits will play. Chimbetu will come back to Mushandirapamwe on Monday before heading west for a show at Chegutu Arms on Christmas Day and at Ranch Hotel in Kadoma on Boxing Day.

He travels to Jerera on December 27 before going to Victoria Falls on December 29.

He will shut down the year at Megga 1 Bar where he will share thestage with Zaka Zaka and Unique Dance Group.
