WHITE has long been accepted as the traditional colour for the wedding dress, but wedding gowns are no longer the white colour that we are accustomed to.

Designers have since diversified into other colours like yellow, pink, green, ivory, purple and even blue. So stunning are these wedding gowns that one would mistake them for a ball dance dress or party attire.
Seasons Bridal Selection showcased some of the most spectacular gowns at a local hotel at the weekend that would drive any woman into a second wedding ceremony.
So unique were the designs that are specifically designed to suit one’s pocket. Seasons Bridal Selection director Shumirayi Musiyiwa, who is based in Perth, Australia, said all what the client has to do is choose a design and colour.
“Wedding dresses are changing theme from white colour to coloured gowns which are sometimes second dresses after the initial marriage ceremony.
“You need to come for consultation first for these clothes because budget is something we can discuss. Our dresses are competitive and we can do a dress to suit your pocket,” said the former Queen Elizabeth High School student.
Musiyiwa said it takes at least six to 10 weeks to make the dresses, clearing with the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (Zimra) before it is finally delivered to its destination.
