A WOMAN from Pumula South in Bulawayo yesterday appeared in court accused of indecently assaulting five children in a single day by fondling their private parts.

Simelinkosi Moyo (19) of Pumula South was not asked to plead to five counts of indecent assault when she briefly appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Themba Chimiso.

She was remanded to January 17 for trial on $100 bail.

The prosecutor, Fiona Ncube, told the court that on November 23, Moyo went to the house of one of the complainants who is 14 years old and on arrival she found him sitting alone.

She allegedly unzipped his trousers before she indecently assaulted him.

On the same day, she went to another complainant’s house, who is doing Grade Six at around 1pm.

Moyo went there in the company of three other minors.

On arrival, they found the boy alone at home outside the house.

Moyo ordered the trio which was accompanying her to get hold of the boy and remove his trousers.

The boys did as they were told and she allegedly fondled his private parts. It is also alleged that using the same method, Moyo indecently assaulted three other minors.

One of the boys reported to his parents what Moyo had allegedly done to him and a police report was made, leading to her arrest.

After her arrest, the other four boys came up with their complaints and a docket of indecent assault was compiled against her.
