LAS VEGAS — One of Floyd Mayweather (Jr)’s proposed two fights in 2013 is shaping up to be against Robert Guerrero. Report by ESPN

The bout would be held on May 4 at Mayweather’s preferred venue of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and a WBC welterweight title would be on the line, according to Boxingnews24.

The date is one day shy of making it a year since Mayweather beat Miguel Cotto by a unanimous decision, a fight in which the unbeaten American was pushed to his limits.

A further fight, possibly against Saul Alvarez, may be added to Mayweather’s fight roster in 2013 and if he does fight twice it will be the first time he has done so since 2007. Leonard Ellerbe, an adviser to Mayweather, says the 35-year-old has a lot of opportunities for next year.

He said: “Floyd Mayweather has a plethora of options.”
