SUNGURA musician Alick Macheso’s new offering Kwatakabva Mitunhu hits the market today.
Last Power Media spokesperson Tich Makahamadze said the album would be on the market early this morning on both cassette and CD. Last Power Media is marketing and distributing the album.
“Finally, the long wait is over and people have to go and buy the original CDs from different outlets and vendors around the country,” said Makahamadze.
He urged people to shun piracy which he blamed for the delay in the release of the album.
Macheso last released an album (Zvinoda Kutendwa) in November 2010 and the album became popular instantly, but was massively hit by piracy.
Kwatakabva Mitunhu has six tracks, namely Zvipo, Chirimuropa, Huyai Samasimba, Macharangwanda, Kutsvaga Chiremba and Cynthia.
In these songs Macheso sings about his talent although he has added two love songs as usual.
The album will mark the introduction of his new dance Kochekera which he said explores the unity in the band.
“The dance is there to show people that we work as a team. I am glad the album is coming out when the dance is getting popular. We hope people will enjoy this album. We have cooked and it is now time for our fans to taste the meal,” said Macheso.
