WARRIORS and Ajax Cape town winger Khama Billiat’s dreams of playing in Europe have been dealt a blow after his club yesterday announced that they would not allow any player to leave the team — at least for now.

Ajax Cape Town CEO, George Comitis, told Soccer-Laduma that he would not be selling any of his players in the next transfer window, despite interest from other clubs. The transfer window is in January.

Billiat was expected to join a European club particularly Ajax Amsterdaam where he went for trials earlier in the year.

The Urban Warriors have had a tough first half to their PSL campaign this season and currently find themselves on the wrong half of the table. Having lost a number of key players in transfer windows over the last year or so, Comitis has told Soccer-Laduma that this time he doesn’t intend to sell any players.

The club CEO told the crew: “I don’t think that I’m going to let anyone go out of the club. I’ve already had some people trying to get to my players. I’ve had two or three offers on the table, but I’m not going to be accepting them.”

It remains to be seen which of the club’s players are being eyed by fellow PSL opposition. However, it seems that Comitis is not keen to lose any of his team as they look to turn around their fortunes in 2013.
