Andrea Stramaccioni’s Inter side have responded well to their 1-0 loss at Parma on November 26, securing their place in the last 32 of the Europa League as well as posting back-to-back league wins against Palermo and, most recently, Napoli.

They enter today’s match trailing league leaders Juventus by four points, while Vladimir Petkovic’s Lazio are nine points further back in fourth place.

Inter will be looking for some more good form from veteran Argentine striker Diego Milito, who leads the club’s league goal-scoring charts with eight.

Lazio enter the match on the back of an eight-match unbeaten streak, although they were held to a 0-0 draw by lowly Bologna in their most recent match and they will be keen to get back in the winners’ circle against Inter.

Also today, eighth-placed Udinese host struggling Palermo at the Stadio Friuli.

Champions and leaders Juve are in action on Sunday when they welcome Atalanta to Turin.

Antonio Conte is back in the dugout after a four-month touchline ban for withholding information about match-fixing during his time at Siena and Wednesday’s 1-0 Coppa Italia win over Cagliari was the first time he had been on the touchline at Juventus Stadium since the ban ended.

Massimiliano Allegri’s faltering AC Milan team will be hoping to improve on their seventh place when they take on Pescara at San Siro and Napoli will look to bounce back from their loss to Inter with a home game against Bologna.

In other matches on Sunday bottom side Siena visit Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi, Catania play host to Sampdoria and fifth-placed Roma will look to keep pace with the leaders when they journey to Chievo Verona.

Strugglers Genoa and Torino do battle at the Luigi Ferraris, while Cagliari visit Parma.
