GTEL marketing director Robert Gonye said all has been set for the prize giving ceremony that is expected to cap this year’s eventful edition of the online beauty contest in style.

“It is now time to put a lid on this year’s edition of this exciting pageant. We would like to thank our co-sponsors and the rest of the team behind the scenes for making the pageant a success,” said Gonye.

“We want to thank the models for the professional way in which they did their daily chores while in camp and the friendly way in which they competed on the day of the pageant.

“We now have to reward those that made it to the top, while we encourage those who did not get any titles to keep trying. Their monthly titles are enough to prove that they have the potential to get to any level.”

Former Miss Teen Zimbabwe Nadine Hahn from Harare was crowned Miss GTEL Face of Zimbabwe 2012, while Tabelo Masoha — who is currently based in South Africa — was crowned first princess and former Miss Curvy Tanya Chikuni from Harare became second princess.

Melissa Moyo from Gweru got the GTEL Face of Zimbabwe people’s choice crown. Bianca Mpopoma, who also stays in South Africa, was crowned Miss Personality.

The organisers were not at liberty to reveal the winners’ prizes save for a package for Miss Personality that was announced at the day of the pageant.

She will receive $750, a voucher for one night accommodation at Crown Plaza and a laptop.

However, NewsDay has it on good authority that the Miss GTEL Face of Zimbabwe will receive $300 cash prize and a vehicle worth $8 000 in addition to other benefits that include a GTEL marketing contract valid for a year.
