The show will be Suluma’s first performance in the country since 2010.

Although the gospel diva is now based in the United States, her music has continued to touch souls and inspire many upcoming gospel musicians locally.

Her praise and worship tracks that include Maitiro Enyu, Tatenda Taona and Fara Zvakadaro are among the few timeless local gospel classics.

Recently, Suluma said she would deliver a memorable show that would leave everyone in anticipation of a blessed new year.

“This is one of the shows at which we will deliver our best for the people who will be celebrating the coming of the new year,” she said.

She promised her fans that she would not come for the show without new material and promised to sample some new songs during the concert.

Shumba, who will be part of the show, said he would be at his best celebrating the coming of the new year.

“This is the show that one should not miss because we have to celebrate the coming of the new year together as Zimbabweans,” said Shumba.

The Mufaro hit-maker is expected to sing songs from his latest offering Shongwe which might distinguish him from new kid on the block, Matheus Mhere who has been labelled a copycat.

Mboni Yeziso, Wanano and Kanganwiro are some of Shumba’s songs from his latest offering that have made impact.

Though Fungisai Zvakavapano Mashavave pulled out of the concert, her absence is likely not to be an issue as Sagonda has chipped in.

Organisers of the event, Red Rose entertainment, said they were looking forward to a memorable show.
