REPORT BY STEPHEN CHADENGA OWN CORRESPODENT

State allegations are that on August 8 this year the suspect Frank Vengesayi (39) – whose address was given as 10 Claybank, Gweru – and is employed in the President’s Office, had an altercation with Costan Mukanganwiki following a traffic misunderstanding in the city centre.

Vengesayi allegedly accused Mukanganwiki of nearly knocking him down with his car.

When Mukanganwiki stopped at a robot-controlled intersection, Vengesayi allegedly sprayed him with an unknown chemical in the face.

Vengesayi has, however, denied the charge.

Anesu Edwin Hatugari is prosecuting.
