Ncube recently returned from a United States Embassy- sponsored educational comedy tour of the US where he performed in a number of open mic shows in Orlando and New York’s famous Gotham Comedy Club.

Ncube, who is not afraid of innovation, has already taken to his advertising medium of choice Facebook, customising advertisements to all his friends in a unique direct marketing campaign.

“I want to share the special connection I have with my fans and so I have personally designed each advert that will go out to each and every one of my Facebook friends by the time the show happens,” said Ncube.

He said the more fans attended his shows, the more it indicated growth of his career and he was certain that one day fans would see how their support paid off.

Ncube is posting personalised advertisements on Facebook, a strategy that is causing excitement among fans.

“The show features many highlights that include a crowd favourite in recent shows ‘Agent 263’, Carl’s paranoid and insightful alter ego, as well as the Carl Awards based on the funny things some famous and infamous Zimbabweans have done in 2012,” said Ncube.

He said the show promised fireworks with Zimbabwe being paralleled to a homegrown version of James Bond in Agent 263.

Ncube added that people could follow his hilarious Facebook posts leading to the show which he broadcasts daily. He is  set to announce his 2013 itinerary, which includes the United Kingdom (Feb), US (May), Canada (July).

He has also just been named brand ambassador of ZIMEXPO 2013 to be held in the US in May next year.

Ncube has been described as “the new face of Zimbabwean comedy” in a CNN interview and is the first Zimbabwean to perform at Parkers Comedy Club, South Africa, Night of a Thousand Laughs, Nigeria, Kenya and Uganda. Ncube is the first Zimbabwean to perform at Mic Check in Kampala, Uganda, and also the first Zimbabwean at Gotham Comedy Club, New York.

“I’m happy to announce that I have also been invited to represent Zimbabwe in the African Comedy Festival set for London, England, in October 2013,” he said.
