Charamba told NewsDay that the shows are very important to them as they celebrate the New Year with their fans.

“People have new year resolutions and we have seen it proper to pray with them so that God blesses their resolutions in our first shows next year,” said Charamba.

He added that they would have a limited number of shows until he completes his studies at the Zimbabwe College of Music.

Speaking about his upcoming album, the Machira Chete hitmaker said they would release their new product next year, but said he would not give specific dates.

“We don’t want to give specific dates because if we fail to meet those dates then it will be very unfair to our fans, but then we are going to give our new offering next year together with Amai (his wife),” he said.

He said he would collaborate with his wife on the coming project.

“I have been backing her on her albums, but this time we are going to have a collaboration. It will give me time do collaborations with different artistes in the country,” he said.

However the musician vowed he would not play the new songs on his shows because of piracy saying he wanted to bring the album to fans as a surprise.

“The moment people realise that this is a new song, they begin to record (at shows). That is why you see that we are strict on our shows about video recordings. We want to protect our music,” said Charamba.

He is currently ridding high with his last album Pashoko Pangoma.

Machira chete, Nyika Zimbabwe and Komborerai Vana are some of Charamba’s hits that have endeared him with his fans across ages.

This year the gospel couple made headlines after they assisted a number of upcoming musicians including Biggie Tembo (Jnr) who got full musical equipment and Peter Moyo who is getting voice tutorials from Charamba.
