HARARE Jazz 105 The capital city reverberates to female voices tonight with the beginning of the Women in Jazz Festival which runs until Sunday. The festival will feature some of the best female acts of this generation and a lot of exciting activities.

Mushandirapamwe Hotel Douglas Chimbetu plays at the Highfield hotel tonight. He travels to Chakari Stadium tomorrow where he curtain raises for self-proclaimed king of comedy Freddy Manjalima aka Kapfupi. On Sunday Chimbetu plays at Garden Party Night Club in Norton.

Book Café Mbira music guru Wilfred Tichaona “Nyamasvisva” Maafrika and Mbira dzeNharira plus Hwevambira play at Book Café tonight. Tomorrow they take their act to Mufakose for a performance at Sahwira Café where there is a special treat of free traditional opaque beer.

Richwood Sports Club On Sunday Oliver Mtukudzi performs with the first family of gospel music Pastor Charles and Mai Charamba at the venue supported by crooner Tryson Chimbetu. Tryson tonight performs at Concession Night Club in Concession and tomorrow he goes to Saraude Night Club, Goromonzi. At his shows, Tryson will be supported by Chibuku Road to Fame finalists Attacking Super Sounds. Musakanene Bar Musakanene tonight presents “Super Friday Delights” with a rhumba night under the close eye of DJ Fredo. Tomorrow it is “The Dance Theory” with Explosion Dance Group featuring Ronaldo and crew. On Sunday, the invincible Mthwakazi Dance Troupe takes to the stage supported by and DJ Jaguar. City Sports Bar Tomorrow night will see the best of Star FM DJs Templeman, Storm, Garry B, Nivek, Prologik and Ash Stylez Zimbabwe taking turns on turntables. On Sunday, Peter Moyo and Utakataka Express perform at the venue to round up the weekend. Moyo will be supported by Bulawayo-based Girls La Musica. Holly’s Hotel Call it “clash of the titans”, “old skool meets new skool ” or even “Bulawayo meets Harare” it does not really matter, but what is certain is that Holly’s Hotel hosts Sandra Ndebele clashing with Girls La Musica, Zoey Norleen Sifelani and Beverly Sibanda. Each has made a name for herself and it will be interesting to see what they will have to offer. Las Vegas Sports Café Tonight local club DJs clash at Las Vegas in Mufakose and tomorrow rhumba group Royal Musica takes over. The recently- opened venue has changed the face of Mhishi Shopping Centre’s night life with a huge turnout every day.

Tonight, Jah Prayzah performs at Chikangwe Tavern in Karoi before entertaining tourists and fishermen at ZV Hotel in Kariba tomorrow.

Tomorrow night the band will perform in Zvishavane at Chiedza Hall. Basement Night Club Tonight it is “Divas Dance Party” with DJs Nash and Ericado. Tomorrow the club hosts a beach party with DJs Joe The OG, Nash, Ericado, Lacusto, Cally D and Que Bas. “Stockvel Party” comes on Sunday with Iyasa and DJs Nash , Ericado, Jay B and Martin.

Club Royal Freddy Gwala performs at the club tonight supported by Chase Skuza. Tomorrow night the club will host Nox and Maskiri supported by Exotic Dancers.
